A LOOK AT THE COMPLEXITY OF FAILURE

In our view, failure is not final or fatal. However, it is important to look at its complexities. This year’s conference is meant to examine the failure of different systems without oversimplifications or ad hominems. Instead, we want to use our interdisciplinary knowledge to understand these breakdowns, de-construct systems, identify where failure began, and how we learn from it. Whether it be a failure in engineering, education, natural systems, music, or art, we can apply our skills and interdisciplinary knowledge to its full exploration.
